Videography
“Nobody will ever notice that. Filmmaking is not about the tiny details. It’s about the big picture.”
Telling a unique story every second through the camera lens. My videos range from being a videography intern for campus news (BG Falcon Media) to being apart of a 48-hour film challenge at BGSU. Lastly, taking a few video classes.
Devices and Software:
Canon Mark 3
Panosonic HD Video Camera
Adobe Premiere
Adobe After Effects
A demo reel showcasing the best footage I have shot, edited, and/or made graphics. The footage is used over the past years with various projects from class, a 48-hour film, and my BG Falcon Media internship. Additionally, an animated logo and royalty-free music to match the fast pace action of the demo reel.
Back in February 2020, BGSU hosted the first Ohio Special Olympics. Thousands of children and adults with intellectual disabilities competed in various sports activities to boost their confidence. This was a very busy and packed weekend that had swimming, basketball, cheerleading, and more at a couple of different locations.
In the Fall of 2018, the BGSU film club host several 48-hour film challenges throughout a semester. My film group had just 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit the footage. The film is a horror genre with a female lead for our global challenge. Additionally, use a flashlight prop in one scene, say a certain line, and a point of view shot in one of the scenes.
After taking the risk of dropping out of school, this music major decides to pursue a career in coffee. Aaron Bremer found it hard to find wholesome light roasted coffee in his hometown. This was when he decided to step up to the plate and start his very own coffee roasting company, Rubato Coffee Lab.
A mood (example: happy) video that cuts the footage in sync with the music. Follow along on these two people's journey from their apartment to a winery. Our mood that we convey in this video is excitement. The song that we used was Avicii - The Nights. In some of our scenes, we match the cut on the beat and cut to rhythm and beats of images.
I got inspired to create my own Nature Zen Video from watching numerous Nature Zens from my local news station. This was during a time where people's anxiety was high since the whole nation was on shutdown from COVID-19. I went to my local Metropark on a morning rain to afternoon sun to illustrate how beautiful, calming nature is.
In the Spring of 2019, I joined the same film group from my previous 48-hour film challenge. The film is centered around the theme of grief as a girl is struggling from the loss of her love life. We had to use a whistle prop in one scene, say a certain line, and incorporate an upside-down shot in one of the scenes. I was in charge of setting the scene properly in each of the shots.
I got inspired to create a new Nature Zen video but with a fall twist from my last Nature Zen video. I went to a couple of local park preserves in Bowling Green to illustrate how beautiful the fall leaves are. Fall is a great time to truly appreciate the great outdoors and you don’t have to travel that far.
An original product commercial (Slap Chop) that is recreated in our own commercial. In the video, one motion graphic sequence about the product information (cost and phone number). Utilize some scenes of 3 point lighting along with recorded external audio using a boom pole. Lastly, proper white balance footage and fast pace continuity editing.
