Research Project
For my VCT (Visual Communication Technology) research class, I had to prepare a research proposal for a possible funding opportunity for a college grant. It had to be related to materials, processes, systems, innovation, or education of a VCT media/industry issue.
My research project was focused on the best effective and efficient processes for creating a 360-degree virtual tour. This topic really fascinates me as businesses in Real Estate, Museums, and many more industries lost face-to-face interaction with customers and clients due to the pandemic. Virtual tours are the answer for businesses since they can connect with customers and clients anywhere in the world online.
In my paper, I wanted to find out the best 360-degree camera to use along with the best free and premium software to build a virtual tour. In addition, evaluating the best practices for capturing photos based on different photographic conditions (exposure, lighting, colors, etc.). Backing up my research with credible sources and comparing a couple of different college virtual tours for my experiment.
